I iPod
My boyfriend bought me an iPod for christmas and its the best present he could of got me. Because I bus to work I cant cope with the constant nattering of other passengers, especially when its the same conversation 5 days a week, so abit of 'me' time appealled. Saying this I am careful not to be one of those annoying self centred people who have it blaring that loud that you wonder if they actually have ear drums. They must all have the same playlist of the one song that goes 'dum dum dum dum' constantly.
I found it was great for me as one of my boyfriends pet peeves about me, one of my bad habits, is that I channel flick. The television, the radio, cds... Whatever it is I just cant leave it alone. I cant keep the interest for long enough even if its one of my favourite tracks I just have to skip onto the next one because I want to listen to that as well. With the TV I hate the fact that I might be missing out on something even more interesting than what I'm watching now. All that happens is that I end up frustrated that ive missed my programme and wondering why I just ended up watch crap.
The problem that I do have with the iPod is with Apple. Luckily when I got the iPod I got £30 or so on a gift card so i didn't have to worry about the payment. I just click ok and it downloaded. Now that I have to pay for it I've realised just how much of a rip off the prices are. 99p a track for the majority of my songs 79p if im lucky. Doing a comparison on the web I can get 15 songs for £10 using an mp3 download site compared to just 10 on Apple! I must admit though that i do like that all my downloads can be easily accessed in the 'purchased' section of the iPod and that I dont have to spend 10 minutes scrolling through all 2000 songs to find the one 3 minute song that I want to play.

Postsecret

I dont know how it came about, how I found it, or when it was but somehow I stumbled across an amazing site about a social experiment that has gripped the world and provided a much needed outlet for thousands of people. I am refering to 'Postsecret'.
Frank Warren is the creator and the concept is to reveal something that you have never shared with anyone else and post it on a postcard. This is to be totally anonymous. You dont put who you are or where your from, unless you want to.
You can share your dreams and your fears. Be about something thats happened to you or something youve found out happening to someone else which has in some way affected you. It can of just happened or could be something youve kept under wraps for years. It is for whatever you need to get out at the time. Its a safe place. Where you wont be judged. Where you can express yourself. Visit, see, experience - www.postsecretcommunity.com

My Blog Spot
Finally up and running...I think.
Im looking for something. Not sure what it is. Not sure ill know when ive found it. Not sure if i want the search to end. But this is my start. The begining of my hunt for something bigger, better, more exciting than what i have, have had, believe is possible in my life.
Ive always thought there was an alternative me. Living a life of cocktails and parties, travel and adventure, money and friendship. Me but with added extras. A me that was braver, fitter, more charasmatic and richer. Who not only was given opportunities but who actually reached out and grabbed them and used them to their greatest advantage and who would not let them just slip away.
This last year has been one of my most difficult. Ive suffered true loss. Ive learnt that life is...no... can be.. cruel and unfair. Ive learnt that you cant wander through life thinking ill just do the groundwork then reap the rewards later. What if that opportunity doesnt come. You spend years living life thinking ill do that later, when i get time, ive got plenty of time to....There may not be the time you think. This is not to feel morbid and definately not to think that you can just quit your job, sell your house and blow your savings although this is very tempting concept. I hate the live for the day rule when its taken to the extreme. I hate when people dont think of the future past the next week and only care about the moment. What im saying is that you should live alittle even if you cant live alot. Look out for those opportunites that you may of in the past let slip and make something of them. Reach out and grab them, dont let them pass you by.
